This week Linkedin is full with the news of Pfizer settlement with generic drug manufacturers Dexcel Pharma, Hikma Pharmaceuticals and Cipla Ltd, regarding lawsuits filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware for infringement of patents relating to VYNDAMAX® (Tafamidis). While three major players have settled, Apotex remains a notable name still navigating the litigation waters. The industry is watching closely to see if they will hold out for a different outcome or eventually follow the settlement trend

Tafamidis is the primary oral transthyretin (TTR) stabilizers approved for transthyretin amyloid cardiomyopathy (ATTR-CM), preventing the protein from misfolding into amyloid fibrils.
